Liquidity has fallen more than 90% in the last decade or so.
Low liquidity raises costs for investors.
The Federal Reserve has been withdrawing liquidity by hiking rates.
Individual investors usually don't think about liquidity. You send a market order for 200 shares of something, it gets filled right away, no problem.
