Young people are ditching Facebook for news and using WhatsApp instead

Young people are ditching the Facebook app as a source of their news, a new study has found.
Instead, they're turning to messaging apps like WhatsApp - which is also owned by Facebook.
The study was conducted prior to changes Facebook made to its algorithm to favour user posts, which means news consumption may have declined even more since then.
