Southwest Airlines has decided to stop serving peanuts as an in-flight snack due to concerns about passengers with peanut allergies.
In a statement, the airline said it decided to do so to "ensure the best on-board experience for everyone, especially for customers with peanut-related allergies."

Southwest will stop serving peanuts on all flights to protect people with allergies

Southwest Airlines will stop serving peanuts on flights starting August 1.
The airline said it wanted to "create an environment where all customers - including those with peanut-related allergies - feel safe and welcome."
Customers can also notify the airline about an allergy before a flight, allowing them to board early and wipe down seats and trays prior to takeoff.
