Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer posted a celebratory picture at the Trump International Hotel in Washington DC, amid the bipartisan outrage over the Trump administration's "zero-tolerance" policy.
Spicer, who attended a Republican fundraiser at the hotel, posted an image of a giant champagne bottle on his Instagram account.
President Donald Trump was reportedly also in attendance.
Cost of admission ranged from $100,000 for general-admission tickets, to $250,000 for VIP tickets.

Protesters chanted and shouted at Kirstjen Nielsen, the secretary of Homeland Security, as she sat at a Mexican restaurant in Washington, DC, on Tuesday evening.
Nielsen was apparently dining at the restaurant when protesters appeared near her table and began shouting slogans including "Shame, shame."
At Washington's Trump Hotel another protest demonstration had loudspeakers set up that were playing audio of children crying in a US detention facility, ahead of a speech by President Donald Trump on Tuesday evening.
