China Airlines Debuts 2019 Calendars

China Airlines celebrates its 60 th year with the release of 60 to Go - A Fresh Start wall and desk calendars. The calendar will feature outstanding crewmembers from across the organization.
The calendar's cover features an Airbus A350 takeoff, symbolizing the airline's dedication to the people of Taiwan, a statement from China Airlines said. The China Airlines crewmembers featured in the calendar exude youth, professionalism and a commitment to service. The calendars feature sites from China Airlines' destinations in Asia, Europe, Oceania and the Americas.

JetBlue Will Add Basic Economy

With airlines like American, United and Delta adding basic economy fares, JetBlue follows suit. The airline will add the no-frills class next year.
“At JetBlue, we never liked the ‘no frills' approach,” Joanna Geraghty, COO and president, JetBlue, said in a blog post addressed to airline crew members.
“But with these competitors now offering basic economy on many routes we fly, customer behavior suggests our success is at risk if we do not disrupt this market by lowering fares without sacrificing the experience.”

China Southern Airlines to quit SkyTeam alliance next year

China Southern Airlines said it will leave the SkyTeam airline alliance on Jan. 1 next year to meet the needs of the company's own development strategy.
SkyTeam is one of the world's three major airline alliances and had two big Chinese carriers, China Southern and rival China Eastern Airlines Corp Ltd, as members, which is unusual given they operate in the same market.
