Top tourism official of Rhode Island to lead Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau

Top tourism official of Rhode Island has been appointed as the new head of the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.
On Friday, the organization's board selected Martha Sheridan as its new CEO. She succeeds Pat Moscaritolo, who gives up work in February 2019.
Sheridan has supervised the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau since 2006.
In a statement, she says she's looking forward to promoting Boston, “a cosmopolitan hub full of iconic landmarks and attractions, diverse neighborhoods, vibrant culture, prestigious universities, and of course feverish sports fandom.”
