Gatwick airport growth goes down by 25% due to drone chaos

Gatwick airport growth witnessed a dented performance for 2018 by the drone attack bringing down the expected rise by one-quarter.
The Sussex airport was closed for 33 hours shortly before Chritsmas due to unauthorized drone activity that led to the cancellation of 1,000 flights. While it wrecked the travel plans of 150,000 passengers.
Over the past few years Gatwick Airport saw a rapid growth last year it handled 46.1 million passengers and making it the second-busiest in Britain.

Munich Airport maintains dynamic traffic growth in 2018

Munich Airport had yet another record-setting year in 2018: Total passenger traffic rose by a very robust 1.7 million to yet another all-time high of 46.3 million. This represents a year-over-year increase of around 4 percent. During the same period, the number of take-offs and landings increased by 2.2 percent to over 413,000.
