Liupanshui to develop tourism infrastructure to eradicate poverty

Liupanshui is planning to develop its tourism infrastructure and agriculture industries to effectively alleviate poverty. This will be a new push by the tourism officials to promote agriculture-tourism and eco-tourism.
There are over 4,000 residents now sell agricultural products and their expected income has risen to around 2,000 to 3,000 yuan per month, Zhu Meicong, a tour guide in a Yi minority village near Liupanshui, told journalists of the 2018 Liupanshui Belt and Road & ASEAN Media Tour. The majority of tourists come from China's Hainan Province and Malaysia, Zhu said.

Lithuania tourism officials face criticism over new tourism ad campaign

The tourism officials of Lithuania have been criticised for a controversial new campaign aimed at attracting millennials from the UK and Germany to Vilnius, the capital city.
The advert is due to be launched on Thursday 9 August, just weeks ahead of Pope Francis' tour of the Baltic region, which begins in Lithuania.
The new campaign's tagline is “Nobody knows where it is, but when you find it - it's amazing. Vilnius: the G-spot of Europe” and features a young woman lying on a map of Europe with her hand gripping Lithuania, her eyes closed in ecstatic bliss.
