GST dampening West Indian state Goa's New Year's party

Heavy taxation imposition, GST, lack of proper tourism infrastructure, expensive hotel and Christmas tariffs and poor planning have resulted in a drop in tourist arrivals in West Indian state, Goa.
Messias, whose organisation, the Travel and Tourism Association of Goa, is one of the oldest travel and industry collectives in the state, said that if concerns of the tourism industry are not addressed soon, it may meet the fate of the state's mining industry, which has been virtually defunct for six years due to excessive exploitation of natural resources and poor management.

The tourism in Taiwan sees a rapid growth in this year with the arrival of 11 million international tourists.
The 11 millionth tourist to visit Taiwan in2018 is a Japanese tourist. He arrived at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on a flight from Kansai International Airport on Sunday. Shinobu Nishikawa, a doctor from Nara, received an unexpected grand welcome from the Tourism Bureau of Taiwan.
The toruism bureau gifted Nishikawa two free air tickets to the destination of his choice, a three-day travel pass for Taiwan's high-speed rail, free accommodation at five-star hotels in Taipei...
