Central bank figures showed today that recovery of the tourism sector in Jordan appears well on track after revenues jumped to $4.5 billion, or 12.6 percent growth, during the first 10 months of 2018..
The numbers represent a leap in the volume of tourism performance in a country that has seen its economy heavily hit as a result of uncertainty in the region, according to officials. A study of the geography of international tourists showed that 9.4 thousand visitors from South Korea visited the city; 8.3 thousand poured from Japan, 6.3 thousand from France, from Germany - 5.5 thousand, from Italy - 5.4 thousand, from Spain - 4.5 thousand, and 3.9 thousand from Turkey.
The most of international tourists are citizens of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries - 76.3 thousand people, from Central Asian countries - 49.6 thousand people.
