Venice to ban alcohol to control mass tourism

To control over tourism, Venice considers to ban alcohol in the streets. In 2018, the city council introduced many unconventional plans to control tourism.
Venice is considering to charge fines for anyone found to be carrying alcohol after 7 pm - even if it is sealed in shopping bags.
This move is designed to target drunk tourists who party throughout the night in squares or public places in the popular Lagoon City without a “justifiable reason”.
