The Chinese government is planning to ban polluting tourist vehicles at the Mount Everest base camp in Tibet from next year as part of its efforts to reduce pollution in the area that has a fragile environment.
The eco-unfriendly tourist transport vehicles will be banned from base camp and permit electric golf-style buggies to raise the income of the locals.
The locals, who live below the poverty line, will be employed as tour guides and drivers of new electric golf-style buggies to and from the camp.

Nebraska has an image problem. For four consecutive years, the state has come last on a list of states that tourists are interested in visiting. Although travel writers praise Omaha's music and art scenes and the state's spectacular wildlife, people on the coasts think of Nebraska as a really long cornfield they have to drive through to reach the Rockies.
Hence, tourism officials are figuring out a new approach. On Wednesday, the Nebraska Tourism Commission revealed its new slogan: “Honestly, it's not for everyone.”

Bulgaria's tourism ministry affirms increase of Chinese tourists in the country by 43% last year

The Tourism Ministry of Bulgaria said that the number of Chinese tourists visiting the country increased by 43 per cent last year.
By the end of this year, a Bulgarian Tourism Information Centre will be opening in Beijing. This was announced at a Bulgarian-Chinese cultural and tourist forum in Sofia, a day after the Bulgarian capital city hosted the 16+1 meeting of local leaders from Central and Eastern Europe and China.
Bulgaria is committed to step up dialogue with China on tourism and expanding joint initiatives.
