Cruise Lines International Association appoints Kelly Craighead as its President and CEO

Cruise Lines International Association has appointed Kelly Craighead as President and Chief Executive Officer from January 1, 2019.
Craighead has spent over 15 years in the public and private sectors, recently serving as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Travel and Tourism in the U.S. Department of Commerce where she prioritized travel and tourism within the Administration and with Congress. International tourist arrivals grow 5% this year from January to September

This year, international tourist arrivals grew five percent year-on-year from January to September propelled by continued demand for traveling, according to the UNWTO.
The UNWTO estimates that destinations worldwide received 1.083 billion international arrivals through September, marking an additional 56 million compared to the same period of 2017, regardless of slower growth between July and September.
All world regions posted growth, and the Asia Pacific region led with a seven percent rise.
