SOP issued by Sikkim for reopening to domestic tourists

A 23-page Standard Operating Procedure has been issued by the Sikkim government with the state reopening to domestic tourists from October 10.
This tourism reopening will take place in various phases. The principal focus will be on successfully managing the tourism industry, making sure that there are strict implementations of the SOP guidelines to ensure that health is not compromised in any case. Although not compulsory, tourists are advised to carry a COVID-negative certificate issued 72 hours before their entry in Sikkim.

The Goa Cabinet has permitted the new tourism policy that is geared towards making the state free of drugs, restricting tourists from cooking in open areas. The State Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar said that the Pramod Sawant-led cabinet has approved the Tourism Policy-2020, which is supposed to give a”proper direction to the industry”.
”We want good tourists to arrive here. We should not be looked upon as a drug destination. Our attempt is to make Goa a drug-free state,” he said. Under the new policy, tourists who arrive in groups and cook in the open spaces would be penalized...
