More than 30 Million Jobs Supported by Aviation in Asia Pacific

A report quantifying aviation's impact on the global economy was released last week.
According to new research from the Air Transport Action Group, the global air transport sector supports 65.5 million jobs and $2.7 trillion in global economic activity. The report, Aviation: Benefits Beyond Borders, debuted at the ATAG Global Sustainable Aviation Summit in Geneva last week.

More than 646 million international arrivals in Asia Pacific , exceeds global average

Pacific Asia Travel Association released the Annual Travel Monitor Final Edition which states that the international visitor arrivals into 47 destinations in Asia Pacific increased by 5.7 percent. This brought 35 million additional arrivals to the collective foreign inbound count into the Asia Pacific last year.
In 2017 the foreign arrivals in the Asia Pacific destinations showed a better global average growth that reached a record high of more than 646 million arrivals as compared to 2016.
