Chicago Airports Get Free WiFi. Finally. O'Hare Gets 5 New Gates.
In a “better late than never” move, Chicago's O'Hare and Midway airports now offers unlimited free WiFi to all travelers in the terminals. The service, provided by Boingo, shows an advertisement every 45 minutes. Previously the free WiFi service was limited to 30-minute sessions.
At O'Hare, American Airlines celebrated the opening of five new gates on its L concourse at Terminal 3. The gates, part of a $78 million construction project, are the first new gates to be built at O'Hare in 25 years.
More Airlines Join TSA PreCheck Program
TSA added six new airlines to the PreCheck program that gives registered travelers access to expedited security lanes. New to the list: British Airways, Condor, Porter, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Thomas Cook Airlines and Air Serbia. (In February, TSA welcomed Air France, Brussels Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Philippine Airlines to the PreCheck program). That brings the total number of airlines...
