Sultanate of Oman relaxes visa rules for Indians

Indians holding valid visa of US, UK, Canada, Australia, Schengen or Japan can now enter Oman with ease. Following the footstep of UAE, Oman has relaxed visa rules for Indians and the visa can also be availed by the spouse and children of the visa holder of the six countries mentioned. The spouse or children can accompany him or her even if they do not hold a visa fro those countries.
The duration of the visa on arrival will be for a period of one-month costing 20 Omani Rial and to get the visa the applicants should ensure that their passport remains valid for a minimum of six months along with a confirmed hotel accommodation.
Further the UAE grants visa on arrival to Indian nationals holding valid US visa for a minimum period of six months. Last year Qatar permitted citizens of 47 other countries that included India to stay maximum for 60 days without getting a prior visa.
