Malaysia Tourism & Travel Mart 2020 will be postponed

Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin had announced measures on 16 March 2020 to restrict movement nationwide which started from 18 March till 31 March 2020, in a bid to stem the rising number of coronavirus cases.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Malaysian Government announced on 18 March 2020 that the Visit Malaysia Year 2020 tourism campaign has been cancelled.
The nationwide movement restrictions to further stem the spread of the coronavirus have been extended from 31 March to 14 April 2020 because the infections have not reduced as declared by the Government.

The Republic of China recently issued a new travel ban that restricts all foreign visitors from entering the country. No foreign visitors would now be allowed to enter the country even if they carry visas or residential permits. The decision comes in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
